How it works

Three steps. Set it up once, then the whole family joins in.

  1. Set up your home

Add the people in your family. Tell Famoo roughly how old each child is. You choose what each person can see.

  2. Agree how your home works

Pick a few team promises and jobs from ready-made lists. Change the words so they sound like your family.

  3. Everyone gets their own view

Little ones see pictures. Older children see jobs and points. Teens see their own week. You see the whole picture.

What Famoo does

Jobs, plans and dinner. The everyday things, together.

  • Jobs and points

Give each person their jobs, once or every week. Children tick them off and earn points. You choose the rewards.

    In beta

One shared list for the whole family. Meals you plan can add what you need. Anyone can add to it, and tick things off in the shop.

    In beta

  • Team promises

A few promises the whole family makes, grown-ups too. The words grow up with each child. Print them for the fridge.

    New, in beta

  • Story time

Short read-along stories with Famoo and friends. They help little ones learn the habits of your home, like brushing teeth or tidying up.

    New, in beta

  • Kitchen tablet

Use a tablet in the kitchen. It shows today's jobs, meals and plans for everyone to see, with a simple view for young children.

    In beta

  • Your own AI assistant

Promises that grow up with your children

Every family has a few house rules. In Famoo they are team promises that everyone agrees to. The same promise uses different words for each age.

Examples from Famoo's starter list. You can change any of the words.

  1. Little ones “We tidy up our toys.” Agreed with a sticker on the fridge sheet.
  2. Middle “We put things back after we use them.” Agreed with a tap: “I'm in”.
  3. Teens “I keep my room and shared spaces tidy, and I sort my own washing on Sundays.” A deal they help write, with a date to look at it again.

A little more room for family life.

Shared plans, clear next steps and time together. Everyday jobs and plans, with a calmer look you can choose at any age.

Why parents use it

  • Less nagging

Each child can see their own jobs and plans, so they don't need to ask you what to do.

  • One place

Jobs, plans, meals and shopping live together. No more notes on the fridge, three apps and a group chat.

  • Fair for everyone

Everyone can see who does what, grown-ups too. Points are clear. Promises are agreed, not handed down.

Why Famoo

I built Famoo because family life runs on a hundred small jobs, and most of them live in one grown-up’s head. Who’s feeding the dog. What’s for tea on Thursday. Whose turn it is to empty the dishwasher.

Famoo puts all of that in one place, and gives every child a view that fits their age. Little ones get pictures and a big “I did it!”. Teens get their own week. You get the whole picture, and a bit less nagging.

It’s made in the UK, built around UK families, and it never sells your data or shows adverts to children. Our rule at home is simple: don’t put it down, put it away. Famoo just helps everyone remember it.

— Rob, founder

Made for UK families. Our promises to you.

Famoo is made in the UK by a small team. We build it around UK schools, UK shops and UK law.

  • No adverts for children

Children never see adverts in Famoo. The beta has no adverts at all.

  • We never sell your data

Your family's information is yours. We do not sell it or share it for marketing.

  • Children's data protected

We design Famoo around UK GDPR and the ICO's Children's Code. Children's settings start private.

  • You are in control

You decide who sees what. Teens can see exactly what you can see about them. You can download or delete your family’s information yourself in the app, at any time.

  • AI is always labelled

We will always tell you when AI is involved. AI assistants are optional, and only see what you allow.

  • No real money moves

Points and rewards are agreed in your family. Famoo does not hold or send children's money.

Questions

What is Famoo?

Famoo is a family app. It brings jobs, points, calendars, meals, shopping and house rules together, with a view for each person in the family.

What ages is it for?

Families with children living at home, including teenagers and adult children. There is no upper age limit. Younger children might practise everyday routines; older family members can share cooking, dishes, laundry and household plans. Choose responsibilities that fit each person, and switch between Playful and Subtle at any age.

Is Famoo ready now?

Yes, as a beta. It is a test version on the web today, so things may change. Join the beta to try it now.

Which phones will it work on?

The Android app is coming first. The iPhone app will follow later. We will tell beta families how to install it.

How much will it cost?

We have not set prices yet. The beta costs nothing. We will always tell you the price before you pay anything.

Do my children need their own phones?

No. Young children can use a shared kitchen tablet, or agree to things with a grown-up beside them.

Does Famoo use AI?

You do not need AI to use Famoo. You can connect your own Claude or ChatGPT assistant. This is optional, and you choose what it can access. It is always labelled and you can switch it off.

How safe is my family's information?
  • Stored in the UK. Your home's information is kept on Google Cloud in London. It is encrypted while it is stored and while it travels.
  • Only your home can see it. Each home is kept apart inside the database itself, not just hidden in the app.
  • We never see your password. Sign-in is handled by Google, which may process it in the United States.
  • No adverts and no selling. We don't show adverts, and we never sell anything about your family.
  • Children's details never go into AI. Connecting your own AI assistant is optional, labelled, and you choose what it can see.
  • Our food partner gets counts, not names. MiFooDo is told how many adults and children are eating, never who they are.
  • You stay in charge. Download everything your home holds, or delete your account or your whole home, in Settings > Your information.
Who makes Famoo?

Famoo is made by GEMINAI LTD, a small UK company. Meal plans and recipes come from MiFooDo, our food partner.
