Famoo terms

Version 2026-11-02. In force from 2 November 2026.

The short version

1. Who we are

Famoo is provided by GEMINAI LTD, company number 13946343, registered in England and Wales, registered office 69 Nethergreen Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S11 7EH ("we", "us"). Famoo is the name of the app.

Contact: [email protected], or Help, then Report a problem, in the app. About your information: [email protected].

2. What Famoo is

Famoo is a family app for jobs and points, homework, the calendar, shopping, meals and learning. We keep improving it, so features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove something you pay for, section 12 applies.

These terms, the terms of the plan you accept (section 9), and our privacy notice are the whole agreement. If they ever seem to disagree, the privacy notice wins on anything about your information.

3. Who can use it

4. Free and paid

5. Do not rely on it for anything that matters if it fails

Keep your usual way of handling medicine times, allergies, school deadlines and collection times.

6. Your content

What you put into Famoo stays yours. You let us store it, back it up and show it to the people your settings allow, only so we can run Famoo for you. You can download or delete it at any time.

7. Using Famoo properly

Please do not:

If something in Famoo looks harmful or illegal, tell us at once: Help, then Report a problem, or [email protected].

If someone breaks these rules, or we think a child is at risk, we may pause or remove the home or that person's access. We will tell you why, unless the law or a child's safety stops us. If this ends a paid plan, section 12 says what happens to your money.

8. Feedback

Thank you for telling us what works and what does not. We may use your ideas to improve Famoo. We never publish your words without your written agreement, and never a child's.

9. Famoo Plus: terms of sale

9.1 Who you are buying from

GEMINAI LTD sells Famoo Plus and takes your payment through Square. Your card details go to Square, not to Famoo. Square emails your receipts to the email address you sign in with.

9.2 What you pay

You pay the price shown on the plan screen when you accept the plan. That screen also shows the exact words of the plan, and we keep a copy of them with your home's record, so you and we can always see what you agreed. We may offer different prices at different times, or to different homes. A change to the price on offer never changes a plan you have already accepted, except as that plan's own words say.

No VAT is charged at the moment. If we ever have to charge VAT, we will add it to your price and tell you at least 30 days before the first payment that includes it, so you can cancel first if you want to.

The founding offer, open to homes that join by 31 December 2026:

Other offers will follow. Whatever offer you accept, its price and words are the ones shown when you accept it.

9.3 Free trial

The first 30 days are free. We take your card details when you accept the plan, but nothing is charged before your free trial ends. We remind you 7 days before it ends, by email and on the plan screen. A home has one free trial: accepting a plan again later does not start another.

9.4 When you pay

9.5 Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Settings, then Plan and billing, with no phone call and no questions. Cancel during the free trial and nothing is ever charged. After a payment, cancelling stops the next one: you keep the plan until the end of the time you have paid for (31 December 2027 for the yearly plan's first payment; the end of that month for the monthly plan), then your home moves to the free plan.

9.6 Refunds and your right to change your mind

Ask within 14 days of any payment and we refund it in full, and the paid plan then ends. After 14 days a payment is not refunded, and you keep the plan to the end of the time it paid for. To ask, use Help in the app or email [email protected]. A refund goes back to the card the payment came from, through Square.

The law also gives you 14 days to cancel a contract made online, starting the day after you enter it. Our refund promise is meant to be at least as generous as that right.

Your 14 days to change your mind start the day after you accept the plan. They fall inside your 30-day free trial, so nothing has been charged if you cancel then. We never ask anyone to give up their right to cancel. A message through Help, or an email, is enough: you do not need a form.

9.7 If we end a plan

If we stop offering a plan, we tell you at least 30 days before your next payment and do not take it. If we end your plan early for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the part of the time you have paid for and not had. We would only end a plan early if it is being misused, for example to harm others or to break the law.

10. Leaving

You can stop using Famoo at any time, without a reason. Cancel any paid plan first (section 9.5). Download a copy of your information if you want one, then delete your account or home in the app, or ask us.

11. Our responsibility to you

12. If we change or close Famoo

If a change is to your disadvantage, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel and get a refund for any time you have paid for and not had.

13. Complaints, law and disputes

Please talk to us first: most things can be put right with a message. Use Help in the app, or email [email protected]. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days, and aim to give you a full answer within one month.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
